Role Summary:

We are urgently seeking an experienced IT Engagement Manager (Delivery) to lead strategic technology initiatives for a leading utility company. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record of managing large-scale IT project delivery, client engagement, and cross-functional team collaboration. The position involves working closely with internal business stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors to ensure high-quality delivery of IT solutions aligned with organizational objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between IT and business stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT initiatives, from project initiation through execution, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, resources, and budgets, while maintaining focus on quality and risk mitigation.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring consistent communication and expectation management.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, developers, and QA teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Track project milestones, prepare status reports, and facilitate project reviews with executive stakeholders.
  • Resolve escalated issues and remove blockers to ensure successful, on-time delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to governance processes, project methodologies (Agile/Waterfall), and IT compliance standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, tools, and team performance.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of IT experience with a focus on program or project delivery in complex enterprise environments.
  • 5+ years in a client-facing Engagement/Delivery Manager role.
  • Prior experience in the utility or energy sector is highly preferred.
  • Strong background in project and program management with hands-on experience in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior business leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience with vendor management, offshore coordination, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • PMP, SAFe, or similar certifications are a plus.
